August 14

It was a pretty hot day, until the rain came in the afternoon. Good thing we have that big roof outside, everyone stayed high and dry. A couple of the doggies weren't too fond of that thunder, though. They felt much better once they were in a cozy kennel with the radio turned up to classical. The rest of the dogs seemed to totally ignore the weather the whole day, and just played and played.
Here are a few pictures:

Callie, Reeses, Ziggie, and Summit, all taking a break.

Josie, Milo, Chester, Gracie, and Aksel, all playing together.

Farley, Joey, and Grover, with Callie watching in the background.

Isn't Riker cute? He's drooling in the foreground, with Grover, Joey, and Bucky in the back.

August 10

Yay! It's Friday! And in celebration, all the dogs came to play. Lots and lots of fun loving canines, all romping around. Click pics to enlarge. =)

Here's Achilles, he was totally loving the pools today. He'd play a bunch and then go for a dunk. Don't worry guys, if you're getting tired of pool pictures, pretty soon it'll be snowing out, then it'll be dogs rolling in the snow!

Shadow is perpetually wet. In the winter, she still dunks her head completely into the water buckets, but ends up with icicles instead of waterfalls.

Rhett and Malibu are from the same family. Isn't he sweet, giving her a kiss? What you can't see is that right before this he was trying to fit as much of her head between his big toothy jaws as he could.

Macy and Marcy also come from the same family. Marcy, the one on bottom, loves Macy so much, she has to be everywhere Macy is. And usually that means she has to be exactly where Macy is, which is why they spend a lot of time in knots like this.

Here's Shadow and Cody chasing Nikko. Nikko looks like she's about to fly away.

August 9

For many, Thursday is the long day that comes before Friday, but for these dogs, Thursday was their favorite day this week!

Milo and Aksel, playing.

Malibu playing with Gypsi, the dog we're fostering for the Retriever Rescue. She goes to her new home on Saturday! Congrats Gypsi!

Josie had a lot of fun playing with the other puppies. Here she is with Aksel.

Callie playing with Indigo. They sure looked a lot alike, and they got along great!

August 8

The dogs sure had a lot of fun today. So much fun that they wore themselves out!

Joey, get up and play with Sam on your feet! Dogs can be so lazy!

Here's some cute dogs, hanging out. Gidget, a new doggy is on the left, Koda in the middle, and Teddy on the right.

In case you ever wondered why the dogs take a nap at noon, here's why. Around 11 or so, they start falling asleep. This is Jesse, she's so sweet sleeping in that kennel. She didn't quite fit, so she flopped out the front.

Here are some more flopped pooches. Only Fionn (Fin) is wide awake. He's a six month old labradoodle, also new today.

Here's another shot of those lazy dogs. I guess after playing all morning, they ran out of batteries. There's Copper, Macy, Marcy, Reeses, Abby, Dixie, Ziggy, and Max in the front.

Here's Copper being cute. It comes so easily for him.

Abby the poodle has the best haircut ever. Isn't she adorable?

Copper, Fionn, and Gus hanging out.

August 7

The dogs played a lot of fetch today, and still played in the pools, despite the cooler weather. They'd go swimming in the middle of winters if we filled the pools then. Remember, you can click the images to see them larger.

Here they all are, running after Wyndy, who has the tire. Magnus the bernese is flying through the air, and Gus is close behind. The black lab in the foreground is Gypsi, a dog the Divine Canine is currently fostering. She's very sweet and gets along great with us and the other dogs.

Here is Dixie, playing in the pool, which she loves to do.

Here is Dixie shaking off the water. Check out that drool!

Elwood in front, with Bodie behind. Both have such pretty eyes!

Gus loves to play fetch!

Joey and Abby had a lot of fun together. Look at them jump!

Summit in the pool!! I finally got a picture of him in the water! It was tough, because whenever I jump up with the camera, he hops out to see me! He loves his picture taken. One day I was taking photos and he whined at me until I took his picture. I said "ok, sit down" and he rushed up and sat down and posed perfect. He's so silly!

Here he is shaking off. Afterwards he always takes a few laps around the yard while the other dogs chase him.

August 6

Not very many dogs here today, but the ones that were here had a great time.

Wyndy drops the ball to play with Luna:

Joey chases after Jake:

My dog Copper. I'm such a sucker for that drooley bloodhound face.

Josie and Aksel played a lot today.

August 3

There were so many fun dogs today! Just take a look at these cute pics.

Here is Reeses on the right, and her sister Callie, cooling off in the pool. Callie was having sooo much fun laying in the pool today in between running after the other dogs. Remember you can click on the pictures to see them larger.

Macy and her sister Marcy jump into the air, wresting with each other. Lily and Ivy are in the background.

Here's another amazing jump from Macy and Marcy. Callie referees in the background.

Toby and Elwood pose for the camera.

Jake and Elwood, brothers, take a rest after playing. Elwood tried to fit into that kennel to sleep with Jake. It was a very tight fit, and I think Jake was quite glad when Elwood decided to lay outside. There were much larger kennels in the yard to lie in, but for some reason, they like to squeeze into the small ones.

I tried very hard to get a picture of Summit laying in the pool for his mother, but this was the closest I could get. He was just too fast! This pic was taken thursday, I believe, not today.

Here's Jake, playing king of the mountain, while Ivy looks on.

Now for the name game! There's Callie, Toto, Lily, Ivy, Macy, Marcy, and the back of Bodie!

Aksel grabs onto Chester's back end, and Chester swings around to retaliate. Abbey walks by in the background

Chester, Aksel, and Allie watch the other dogs.

Jake is confused as Mitzi digs water out of the pool. "Why would a dog want to empty the water out of a perfectly good pool?" he says.

Mitzi, Jake, and Callie chase Wyndy, who has the ball.
